10.1 Recovering interviews

Interview data recovery may be required in the event of a network or power failure. Recovery consists of copying information from the local data sets to the main GEIS data sets.

The procedure to recover the interviews is as follows:

1. Exit GEIS on any effected workstations.
2. Restore power, boot-up, and log in.
3. Start GEIS.
4. Select a user name and project.
5. Click the Share mode button.
6. Click Develop then Utility functions.
7. Click the Recover interview tab.
8. Click Recover local interview.
9. Close down GEIS.
10. Repeat for all workstations.
