4.3 System requirements

The program was developed with Microsoft Windows NT and SAS version 6.12 with SAS modules: SAS/SHARE, SAS/FSP, and SAS/GRAPH. The current version of GEIS runs in SAS version 8.

GEIS requires about 30 megabytes to install. Projects each require some space, the degree of which depends on the number of respondents expected in the largest survey to be developed and the complexity of the script. The IVR mode requires a Dialogic 41/H card and Visual Voice Pro version 5.0 software.
